  1. Views are being sought on the following: should the trust be named - Brampton and Beyond Community Trust? Is the vision for 15-10 years time - "a resilient community, working together and actively deciding its own future" and the mission to "enable local people to work together to identify local needs and solutions and to create opportunities to promote environmental, economic and social wellbeing"? What do you think?

  2. someone has said is this local government? - no its not - a trust is set up by a local community for the good of that local community - it uses profit making companies to create funds to pay for services the community needs and wants - normally the trust itself is a charity - want to know more go to www.dta.org.uk.

  5. A lot of progress has been made and the Trust should be set-up in the next 3-4 months. The thinking is to set up a not-for-profit Trust (company limited by guarantee) with charitable status that can set up profit making trading arms. The profits from those would be used to improve existing services and provide new services and facilities.
